The Chicago Temple Project called for the most advanced technology available to address energy efficiency, noise reduction and indoor air quality. The custom Racan air handling unit, whose 30 custom-manufactured modules were lifted and installed on the roof during a weekend of heavy lifting in May 2009, incorporates many of Carrier’s signature design features.
