HPZS was retained in 2005 as the Project Manager and Architect/Engineer for the multi-year, master plan and budget they developed to bring the Chicago Temple Building into closer compliance with other first-class office buildings. The resulting $27+ million plan is complete and includes:
  • The restoration and cleaning of the limestone exterior and lighted spire
  • A life safety study and improvement plan
  • Structural restoration of the vaulted sidewalk and installation of a new granite sidewalk with kiosks including redesigned entrances on both Washington and Clark Streets
  • New building lobby directory, security station and elevator upgrades
  • New energy efficient heating ventilating and cooling, plumbing, sprinkler, electrical, telephone, data, security and emergency communication systems
  • Expanded toilet room facilities and public corridor improvements
